After reviewing your academic transcript(s), it has been determined that you are not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards to receive financial aid. To be eligible for financial aid, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher
- Complete a minimum 66.67% of all units attempted
- Not exceed more than 150% of the units required for a degree or certificate program
- Not have a bachelor’s degree or higher
To request a SAP Appeal, click here and follow the steps below:
- When logged in to your Student Center account, click on the Request button
- Click the “+” under the correct Aid Year
- In the Comment box, indicate the semester you are appealing for
- Click the Submit button
- Click on the Aid Year SAP Appeal tab
- Click on the SAP Appeal task, complete the SAP Appeal Web Form, and sign the Web Form
- Under the SAP Appeal task, click the Submit button and then the Finish button
If you have a pending SAP Appeal that has not been completed, you will need to rescind it in order to request a new SAP Appeal for the current semester. To rescind a pending SAP Appeal, following the steps below:
- Click the Request button
- Click the “-“ for the SAP Appeal under the correct Aid Year
- Explain your reason for cancelling the pending SAP Appeal in the Comment box
- Click the Submit button
