Communion Homily/Sermon

In this homily, you will describe the significance of communion in the ecclesiastical stream of which you are a part. In so doing, you will be giving detailed scriptural underpinnings to support the importance and value of communion within your local church body.

Write a 10-minute homily (about 10 pages double spaced) addressing communion in your ecclesiastical tradition, as follows:
Describe the central truths conveyed through communion.
Use Scripture, at least one commentator, and several well-placed quotations from reputable authors.
Describe the personal benefits believers receive as a result of engaging in a corporate communion service.
